August Monthly Meeting

The CCBA August monthly meeting will be a Zoom session featuring Kim Flottum. 

Kim Flottum served as Editor of Bee Culture magazine for 33 years. He started in the beekeeping industry studying soybean pollination and did pesticide studies working for the USDA Honey Bee Research Lab in Madison Wisconsin. He has written 5 books on bees, beekeeping, beekeeping business, honey production and honey. During his time as Editor, he was elected Director and then Chairman of the Board for EAS, and Director and President of The Ohio State Beekeepers Association. Today he is co-host of the Podcast BeekeepingToday with Jeff Ott, writes for a variety of industry magazines, and spends his spare time in the garden and taking care of chickens, ducks, and a pollinator garden. He lives in Northeast Ohio with his wife Kathy, who still works for Bee Culture magazine, and he is still learning how to be retired.
